Recruiting rises for DE Kmetz

Interest is beginning to rise for Ijamsville (Md.) Urbana defensive end Colton Kmetz. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder has a few schools picking up interest since he put out his midseason highlights.
"It's been about two weeks now since I sent them to all the colleges," he said. "East Carolina saw it and they are really interested. They want me to come visit and I'm planning to do that after the season.

"Marshall is still in good contact and I'm in contact with NC State too."
Is Kmetz thinking about visits anytime soon?
"Right now I have a full schedule with my senior year, so I think they'll be after the season in November. That's when I'm trying to visit."
Kmetz maintains no favorites and still holds two offers from Pittsburgh and Kent State.
"Kent State was by the school last week and they want me to come for a visit. I'm still in good contact with both schools."
The end busted out early with a number of sacks, but that has slowed a bit in recent weeks.
"I've been playing pretty well, but I'm not getting the sacks I did earlier in the season," he stated. "We have been playing mostly run offenses and I'm clogging holes and helping out my defense. Hopefully with more pass offenses coming, I'll get more sacks."
