Recruiting picks up for Gause

Rochester (N.Y.) Bishop Kearney junior wide receiver JoJo Gause holds one scholarship. However, college interest is rising for the 6-foot-4, 198-pounder, as his season has come to a close.
"I just got done with the season two weeks ago," he said. "We didn't do too well, we finished 2-6. I got hurt earlier in the year, but I'm good now, I got my back better."

Gause saw an improvement in his game this year.
"I feel like I did better than last year," he said. "I was open more and just felt like I was better as a player. I felt faster, stronger and my route running improved. The corners seemed to be scared of me."
In recruiting, Gause holds a lone offer from Old Dominion at this time.
Things are about to change though as new schools are coming in and he's starting to look into visits.
"I'm about to start doing some visits," he said. "I plan to go to Rutgers because my brother plays there. They want to see my junior highlight tape.
"I'm also getting a lot of mail from Connecticut, Pittsburgh, Temple and Mississippi State."
However, Gause claims no favorites.
"I kind of like Rutgers since my brother is there, but I don't want to pick anyone right now, I'm not picking or favoring any school at all."
