Recruiting on hold for Richardson

Recruiting continues to sit on the backburner for linebacker Raysean Richardson out of Chesapeake (Va.) Oscar Smith. The 6-foot-1, 189-pounder is focusing all of his efforts on the big game against undefeated Bayside this week.
"It's the Eastern Region Championship," he said. "I'm just getting ready for the big game.

"I think this team is a lot better than last year. We all came together this year.
"I think I'm playing better than last year too. This year I'm reading the guard better and I've picked up my play. Hopefully I'll do well this week so we can play another week."
In terms of his recruitment, Richardson continues to focus mostly on three schools.
"I'm still looking at those three, East Carolina, Illinois and Temple," he said. "If any new offers come in, I'll look at them too, but right now I'm talking to the same schools."
At the moment, Richardson hasn't scheduled any visits.
"I'm going to set them up once the season is over. I'm big on all three right now."
However, the linebacker did visit one of the schools in recent weeks.
"I went to East Carolina for the Marshall game on October 25th," he said. "It was good. It was a nice atmosphere and the fans are big into football, I like that."
