WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. -- Some of the top programs from the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County gathered on Saturday for the annual Pierce College passing tournament. Here are some recruiting notes from the event.
UCLA commit visiting others

Michael Pittman will visit Oregon next month.
Four-star wide receiver Michael Pittman remains committed to UCLA, but he has a couple visits coming up that should definitely test the strength of that longtime pledge. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound prospect from Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian has been hearing from various assistants at Oregon and intends to visit the Ducks on June 20.
USC is another school that Pittman has focused on for a while and Trojans appear to be in position to receive an official visit. The Bruins, meanwhile, continue to recruit him heavily, but Pittman said the coaches are allowing him to weigh all his options.
Lee happy with process
Dymond Lee knows of one official visit destination.
Dymond Lee drew visits from Arizona State, Texas A&M, USC and Washington recently and the four-star receiver from West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade said he is happy with how the recruiting process is shaping up.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound prospect is up to 11 scholarship offers, and Lee said Arizona and Arizona State have been showing a lot of interest lately that could suggest they'll join the chase soon, too. Lee has also been in steady communication with locals UCLA and USC, having attended spring practices on both campuses. He plans to take all five official visits before committing, and Miami is one school Lee said is definitely on his radar given that he wouldn't be able to make that trip otherwise.
Johnson wants to see Huskers
Keyshawn Johnson Jr. wants to visit Nebraska in the upcoming season.
Keyshawn Johnson Jr. had a dizzying spring filled with campus visits and offers, so it's understandable why the 2017 wide receiver intends to put off the recruiting process for a bit as he focuses on leading Calabasas, Calif., on a title run this upcoming season.
Alabama, Arizona State and UCLA all dropped by his school recently, and Johnson mentioned Nebraska as a team he would like to see play in person this fall. The plan is for Johnson to make a college decision within 12 months so he can go into his senior season committed and work on recruiting others to join him. Johnson said he doesn't know if he'll ever name a list of top schools, yet a commitment could happen during or after this season.
New SEC option for Mathis
Dru Mathis plans to visit Vanderbilt, which recently offered.
Three-star outside linebacker Dru Mathis of Ventura (Calif.) Buena has had a busy spring evaluation period and the latest bit of activity was an offer from Vanderbilt on Friday. It was the first SEC offer for the 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect and he said he's hopeful that would only open more windows nationally. The plan, for now, is to use one of his official visits on the Commodores this fall.
Oregon State, Syracuse and Washington have expressed interest lately. Mathis said he heard the Beavers intend to drop by his school this coming week and he might reciprocate that interest by camping with them this summer. He has already set an official visit to Nevada for the second week of the season when the Wolfpack host Arizona.
Parkinson has three
Colby Parkinson plans to visit several Pac-12 schools this summer.
Tight end Colby Parkinson landed his third offer this past week, from Washington State and has also garnered looks from UCLA and USC. His other two offers are from Tennessee and Washington.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound prospect lived in the Evergreen State when he was younger and has plans to return in July to visit the Huskies and Cougars. Parkinson has been talking to Stanford as well and has the Cardinal's camp circled on his calendar given their recent success with players at his position.
Corral likes UCLA
Matt Corral has early interest in UCLA.
Oaks Christian quarterback Matt Corral played in eight games as a freshman last fall and that early exposure helped him establish early contact with UCLA assistant coach Angus McClure.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect said he's interested in the local school and intends to check out a couple games at the Rose Bowl this upcoming season, especially with teammate Pittman advertising for the Bruins the last few months.
