Recruiting just starting for junior DB
Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove defensive back Mitch Deffner is a varsity starter on both the Center Grove football and basketball teams. But it is football that he will pursue at the next level.
"Indiana has sent me some mail," Deffner said. "And a couple smaller schools. And I talked to Ball State. They were at my school (Tuesday)."

While Deffner has started to think about a couple colleges, he is keeping things very wide opem.
"Honestly, I'm just looking for whatever scholarship offers come," he said.
Deffner was invited to the Army All-American Camp, but could not make it because of basketball.
The 6-foot-4 and 195-pounder played both free safety and cornerback during his junior season. He intercepted one pass and was an all-county selection.
