Recruiting is second for Oklahoma DE

Tulsa (Okla.) East Central defensive end Chris Todd continues to worry about football, first. Recruiting, second.
"It will be there," the 6-foot-2, 276-pound Todd said of recruiting. "I'm focused on our season. It is the important thing right now. I mean, I know the recruiting is important and schools call and stuff. But, right now, it is on my back burner."

The nation's No. 40 rated strongside defensive end has five scholarship offers from Division I-A schools. Arkansas, Colorado, Colorado State, Kansas and Tulsa have extended written offers. Two other schools that have yet to offer are high on his list, too.
"I am interested in Oklahoma and Oklahoma State too," he said. "They haven't offered. But, I'm in this state and those are schools I have interest in. I would like to take an official visit to those two schools out of the five I can take."
Todd has yet to line up any official visits, though.
"None yet. I will get them lined up when our season is over. I don't want to be taking any during the season. We're 6-1 and playing well. I don't want anything to cause any distractions."
