Recruiting is rising for Zanellato

Interest is rising for Burke (Va.) Lake Braddock wide receiver Matt Zanellato. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder still has yet to land a full scholarship, but is getting interest from a number of teams.
"I'm getting heavily recruited by Penn State," he said. "If they offer a receiver that isn't a two-way player, receiver/defensive back, it will be me. That's at least what Coach McQueary has told me.

"I'm thinking it's a 75% chance they will offer me. It depends on whether one of their receivers leaves for the draft and the four offers they have out to two-way players."
A few other schools are picking up interest as well.
"Bucknell has told me they are offering, but they can't give me a full scholarship," he said. "Delaware and Maryland are right there about to offer too.
"They both want to see some senior film since I'm in a new offense."
In a recent scrimmage, Zanellato claims approximately 10 receptions for 150-yards and three touchdowns.
"I'm looking forward to this season," he said. "My receiver coach who is also our offensive coordinator told me his goal is to get me 10 catches a game, so I can have a 100-plus reception season."
