Recruiting heats up for 2013 OL

Everyone expected recruiting to heat up when September rolled around.
That's exactly what has happened in the case of Mike McGlinchey.

September is the start of the contact period and a good numbers of schools reached out to McGlinchey, a 6-foot-8, 285-pound offensive tackle from Philadelphia (Pa.) William Penn Charter School.
"I heard from Florida and Miami," McGlinchey said. "I heard a lot from Rutgers and Connecticut and Vanderbilt, too. There was Penn State and a bunch of other schools."
Most of that contact was over Facebook but McGlinchey is sure to be talking to plenty of coaches going forward.
"I've gotten a couple of invites to go to any game this year at a couple of schools. Hopefully I can start planning around my football schedule so I can go attend some of those games," he said.
Boston College and Virginia are the two schools that have offered McGlinchey so far. Several SEC schools and other schools across the country appear to be evaluating him and trying to decide whether to verbally offer him.
McGlinchey wouldn't speculate on which schools he thinks will be the next to offer.
