Recruiting heats back up for Rivals250s Pollard

Rivals250 defensive tackle Jamil Pollard reopened his recruitment back in July. The Westville (N.J.) West Deptford prospect held numerous offers prior to his pledge to Penn State, but what's his status now?
"East Carolina offered me a couple weeks ago and Temple is starting to call me up more," he said. "I don't know about the other offers if they're still out there, all I know is East Carolina."

That doesn't mean other colleges aren't interested.
"Vanderbilt wants me to visit as does Boston College, Penn State and Temple," he said. "I'm going to wait until after the season to take my official visits."
Just starting to get back on the recruiting trail, Pollard claims no favorites.
"I don't know, I haven't really thought about that," he said. "I just want a school with good academics, a good coaching staff as well as a nice location."
On the field, Pollard is playing well as he has helped his team to a 3-1 record.
"We just came off a tough loss to our big rival," he said. "Everything is looking up and we came together.
"I'm playing great. I got player of the week for the last two weeks and I'm being honored by the touchdown club. I have a lot of tackles this year, but only six sacks."
Pollard discussed the year.
"I'm getting a lot more double teams and I've had to work a lot harder, working through all the chop blocks," he said. "I'm adjusting perfectly to it, it was hard at first, but it's good now."
