Recruiting heating up for 2009 WR

The recruiting process got off to a relatively slow start for wide receiver Matt Muncy but things have heated up now. The talented prospect from Tazewell, Virginia has heard from dozens of schools in recent weeks.
At 6-foot-4 and 212-pounds, Muncy runs the 40-yard dash in 4.64 seconds. While he says he has a list of favorites, he would readily admit it's not exactly a short list.

"I'm hearing from about 20 schools," Muncy said. "Right now I like Virginia, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, UNC, Ohio State, USC, Tennessee, Syracuse, Purdue, Rutgers, Boston College and Vanderbilt.
"I'm looking for playing time and I guess just the overall team prestige."
Muncy has been invited to upwards of 10 camps thus far. He will attend a Junior Day at Wake Forest soon. Muncy has already visited Virginia Tech and Wake Forest and said he will set up a trip to Virginia in the near future.
Muncy bench presses 315 pounds and holds a 3.3 grade point average.
