Recruiting continues to rise for Rivals250 LB

Recruiting is rising drastically for 6-foot-2, 189-pound linebacker Travis Williams. The Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor prospect holds a number of offers and interest is picking up even more.
"I don't even know how many offers I have anymore, my coach knows them all," he said. "I am getting handwritten letters from Florida, Tennessee and LSU. LSU's coaches saw my film and were wondering why I wasn't a five-star recruit because of my change of direction."

At this time, no visits are set for Williams.
"I've been looking for a ride to Virginia Tech, but everybody I know is too busy," he said. "I am thinking about camps though. I'm supposed to go to Maryland's one day camp and Penn State I believe on June 20th."
The Commonwealth prospect maintains no leaders at this time.
"I'm still wide open. I'm not focusing on any one school because I haven't gone many places yet. I don't want to hold back on anyone offering me yet."
Currently Williams is working hard in preparation for the Nike Camp at Virginia in May.
In the meantime, he's keeping busy running track as well.
"Track is going good," he said. "I already know I've qualified for states and I'm running well in both the 200 and 100 meters."
