A month ago, Richmond (Va.) Hermitage athlete Brian Brown landed his first scholarship. What's transpired since then for the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder?
"I just got back from the NUC camp and I did alright," he said. "I'm not sure what I'm going next."
At the moment, Brown still holds the one scholarship from East Carolina.

"I still have the one," he said. "I'm hearing from them and it's pretty positive. They seem pretty happy and I'm happy of course. I've been there a couple times and I'm working on a visit to East Carolina."
Brown is unsure when that trip will occur.
In the meantime, other schools are coming in.
"Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Maryland are interested," he said. "They are all just telling me the history of their schools and talked about the facilities.
"Some talk about camps and I know for sure I'm going to Virginia's one day camp."
Brown claims two programs are standing out at this time.
"I'm interested in Virginia Tech and Virginia," he said. "I guess I just like that I grew up around them. They have always been there.
"I haven't talked to Virginia Tech too much. I have talked to Coach Reid from Virginia. I actually talked to him earlier this week."
Brown earned all-district, metro, region and second team all-state honors as a junior this past season for Hermitage.
