Recruiting begins to heat up for Gross

Baltimore (Md.) Dunbar defensive end Marvin Gross continues to have two offers. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder recently took a visit and discussed the latest with his recruitment.
"I still have offers from Rutgers and UTEP," he said. "I went to Maryland for their junior day and that was about it. It was nice and a good environment. I really can't say anything else about it."

Gross noted that he is working on other visits with his coach, but has no specific plans at this time.
As far as favorites, Gross claims none.
"I have no early favorites," he said. "I'm just trying to see someplace I'd want to go play football and somewhere I'll really like where I am. I want to be comfortable and don't want to leave or have a bad experience. I want a place I feel at home."
Gross recently participated in the five-star camp in Maryland.
"I got runner up at linebacker since the lineman portion closed down early," he said. "I felt as though I needed more work standing up and I felt confident in my performance. I thought I played my best and it was an experiment. I am more comfortable now standing up because of it."
