Recruiting begins for 2011 MD corner

Gambrills (Md.) Arundel 2011 cornerback Jonathan Haskett is starting to receive college interest. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder has three schools interested, but more are expected to take a look in the near future.
"I've gotten stuff from Rutgers and Maryland, they just send letters," he said. "I haven't visited anywhere yet, but I like Rutgers, Georgia and JMU."

What does Haskett like about those three schools?
"I like the tradition at Georgia. The team and the area they are in," he stated. "I also have family in all of these areas. I have some family that lives in New Jersey. Some other family lives in Petersburg, Virginia and then more are in Georgia. I would like to stay on the East Coast."
Haskett earned second team all-county honors after helping his team to an 11-1 record.
"I probably had my best year with 43 tackles, a bunch of pass breakups and two interceptions," he said. "I think what sticks out about me is my aggressiveness."
Athletics run in the family as Haskett's father ran track at Eastern Kentucky.
