Recruiters will travel miles for Miles

Defensive linemen are always at a premium and this recruiting season is no different. One of the most sought after defensive linemen is Lawrence Miles (6-3, 265, 4.7) from La Quinta, Calif. Miles is definitely living up to his pre-season rep.
Miles has fought through double teams this season to rack up approximately 40 tackles and has six sacks. Miles also plays tight end and has four receptions on the season, but it will be as a defensive player that Miles will get his scholarship.

“I have offers from every school in the Pac10 except Stanford and Arizona State,” Miles said. “I have two visits set to Washington on December 14th and another one to Oregon January 9th.”
“I will also set visits USC and UCLA,” Miles said. “I’m not sure who my last trip will be.”
“If I had to say who my favorite is I would say it is USC,” Miles said. “It is really way too close to say where what school I will attend. I will just take my visits and see which school fits me best.”
The scouting report on Miles is he has the skills to play on either side of ball on the next level. He has the size to play defensive tackle and the quickness to play defensive end.
Miles has a high ceiling and still has growth potential. He has a lankly frame and he could carry more weight with skipping a beat.
Rivals.com rates Miles as the nation’s number 19 strong side defensive end prospect. He is also a member of Rivals.com’s California Top 100 where he is considered the Golden State’s number 37 prospect at any position.
Miles has also been named to the Rivals.com Super West 60 where he landed at number 50.
Miles was selected, all-CIF, all-county and all-league as a junior after accounting for 82 tackles and 11 sacks his junior season.
