Recent UCLA de-commit hopes to hear from SEC, Big 10 teams

Jordan Patterson was committed to UCLA for about a month but recently backed off that pledge because the 2019 four-star said he has decided to leave Los Angeles for college.

That’s especially interesting for the Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne prospect because his only two offers at this point are from UCLA and USC.

Patterson definitely has his eye on two other schools, though and would really like to hear more from Florida and Nebraska as soon as possible.

“UCLA has always been my dream school but I really always wanted to see what Florida was like and I really like the school besides football and I like the head coach from Florida a lot,” Patterson said.

“Nebraska I really like the way coach Donte (Williams) is as a coach and as person he's a very great man and I would love to play under his wing. They have also a really good school and a fan base.”

At this point in his recruitment, after backing off his UCLA pledge and transferring schools for his junior season, Patterson is more focused on having a good year and worrying about his recruitment later.

Patterson wants college coaches to notice so he has a ton of options further down the line when it’s time to make another decision.

At this point, Patterson is more worried about getting noticed so he has plenty of options moving forward.

“My goal this year as a player on and off the field is to be the best student-athlete I can and just play the game I love and try to have every scholarship in the USA and help my family out,” Patterson said.
