NLG traveled to the Philadelphia 76ers Sports Complex and held court as the top program in the Northeast, capturing the Pylon Philadelphia 7v7 tournament title.
The reigning champs squared off with a very skilled Philly’s Finest in the semifinal and went toe-to-toe with Detroit-based MaxEx in the finals.
NLG was led by class of 2022 quarterback Devin Kargman, who led Woodrow Wilson to a state championship this past season.
Kargman was the most efficient quarterback at the event as he NLG to scoring drives on all but one possession throughout the tournament.
NLG also traveled and won Pylon Orlando this month.
As mentioned, MaxEx gave NLG all they could handle in the finals. Highly touted defensive back Will Johnson held the mantle as the top defensive prospect at the event. He intercepted multiple passes and shut down opposing teams top receivers.
The tournament came down to extra points attempts and Kargman was able to finish drives by rolling out and hitting his receivers in the corner of the end zone.
Pylon will host a tournament in Las Vegas that brings together some of the best talent from across the nation next week.
