Rebs making push for Louisiana OL

Colorado, UCLA and Ole Miss continue to lead for one of Louisiana’s top O-Line prospects.
“I’ve gotten a bunch of calls from those three this month,” said River Ridge (La.) John Curtis guard Aaron Meyer. “There’s been some others, but those are the main ones. I’m not looking too much at anyone else at this point.”

Meyer (6-3, 285, 4.9) has offers from his three leaders, plus Clemson, Louisville and Northwestern.
“I don’t have a favorite right now,” he said. “I’ve liked Colorado and UCLA for a long time, but Ole Miss is coming on strong. They’re recruiting me hard.”
Meyer has made one unofficial visit this fall, the LSU-UL-Monroe game. He also plans to see the Tigers play Florida (Oct. 11) and Auburn (Oct. 25).
Asked if LSU was still a possibility, he said: “Yes. It’s a great program. If they want me, I’d definitely consider it. But I don’t know if they’ll offer or not. I still get some stuff from them, but they haven’t said anything about offering.
He says he won’t take any official visits until after his season is finished.
Academically, Meyer maintains a 3.2 GPA and has scored a 19 on the ACT.
