Hampton gave his verbal pledge to the Rebels in June of 2012. Since that time, Alabama, Georgia, and Stanford have offered the 6-foot-2, 196-pound safety.
"Everything is good with Ole Miss," Hampton said. "I'm still checking out some options. I'm going to Ole Miss for the Texas A&M game. I've been checking them out and they have been playing good ball, so that is all that matters."
The visit to Oxford will be his first scheduled official visit. In November, he is headed to Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl.
"I'm going to Auburn-Alabama," stated Hampton. "Alabama is a great school. I respect everything they have going on there. They seem to care about me and my family. It's only right that I give them a fair look. It's a nice place."
The Rivals250 presented by Under Armour prospect said Miami will likely get a visit as well. He is working to set up a date during the season because he wants to graduate early.
"Coach Paul Williams has been recruiting me from there," noted Hampton. "We have a pretty good relationship. They have been recruiting me pretty hard for a while now. I'm ready to go down there and see what the school is like."
As a junior, Hampton recorded 48 tackles, three interceptions, one fumble recovery, and two caused fumbles.
