RCS Los Angeles: Best of the Rest

Recruiting wrap: Colorado, Nevada, San Jose State and Utah State have offered so far.
Performance: Bryant does not have tremendous size but he's smart and out-thinks receivers and quarterbacks. He has a knack for stepping in front of passes and reading what the receiver is going to do, so he can break on the ball and knock passes down. Bryant is not super physical, but he's crafty, and that's why he's so good.
DB
Troy Dye
Norco, Calif.
Recruiting wrap: Colorado, Oregon State, Washington State and others are involved in Dye's recruitment.
Performance: Dye closes on the ball very well and is physical within the first 10 yards to disrupt routes. He has good size and he's long and fluid, but he also has the ability to keep up with wideouts down the field on deep passes. He doubles as a receiver, so he knows how to attack the ball rather than letting it come to him.
WR
Simi Fehoko
Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton
Recruiting wrap: BYU, Michigan, Stanford, Utah and Washington round out Fehoko's top five schools.
Performance: Fehoko stood out from the beginning to end of camp because he was lauded by the coaches for his attention to the details in the drill work, and then he had some nice catches in the one-on-one session. The top-rated player in Utah has a huge catch radius, long arms, he runs routes hard and can catch passes with corners hanging on him.
TE
Logan Gamble
Long Beach (Calif.) St. Anthony
Recruiting wrap: Arizona, Washington State and a host of mid-level programs have offered so far.
Performance: Gamble lined up more in the traditional tight end role on Sunday and he had his way with plenty of linebackers. He is long and lanky but can twist his body around to catch passes thrown behind him and he's shown to have great hands. Gamble is not going to run away from anybody with incredible speed but because of his length and size he can catch a lot of passes thrown his way.
WR
Derrion Grim
Stockton (Calif.) Ronald E. McNair
Recruiting wrap: Grim is committed to Boise State.
Performance: At a 7-on-7 event earlier this spring, Grim was impressive at linebacker and defensive back. On Sunday, he showed off tremendous skills at wide receiver. The Boise State commitment is an excellent route runner and has a surprising burst to catch up to passes. He could play offense or defense and proved he can be effective anywhere at the next level.
LB
Noel Iwuchukwu
Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame
Recruiting wrap: Iwuchukwu is just getting started with the recruiting process.
Performance: There was one linebacker who looked like a bodybuilder at camp, and it was Iwuchukwu, who still hasn't picked up any offers but really had a nice showing. He has no problem jamming people at the line because of his strength and he also does a decent job staying with receivers on deep routes. He's an inside guy and no one wants to meet him in the hole.
TE
Jimmy Jaggers (2017)
Roseville, Calif.
Recruiting wrap: Michigan and Utah recently offered and he also has Louisville and Northwestern on his list. USC, Utah and others are also showing interest.
Performance: Jaggers is a big, hulking tight end who runs well for someone so big. He has good hands as well. Linebackers were hanging all over him trying to gain some advantage, but Jaggers still got through his routes and caught a lot of passes. He'll never be a speed demon down the field, but he'll move the chains and keep the offense on the field.
WR
Javon McKinley
Corona (Calif.) Centennial
Recruiting wrap: McKinley plans to take official visits to Notre Dame and Oregon and he's also seriously considering trips to Ohio State and Tennessee. USC is also very much in the picture.
Performance: McKinley has excellent size and long arms so he has a great catch radius. If the ball is thrown a little high or low or to his side, McKinley does a nice job adjusting. The four-star receiver needs to be more physical against tough corners, though, and be able to shed defenders who use their hands too much late in the route.
DE
Marcus Moore
Encino (Calif.) Crespi
Recruiting wrap: Miami, Nevada and Washington State have offered so far.
Performance: Moore had some really impressive reps during one-on-ones because he has the speed to beat offensive linemen outside or he can swim back inside and win that way. He needs to be more physical after first contact and counter, but Moore has nice speed and he also showed good physical skills during the one-on-one session.
CB
Jalen Russell
Murrieta (Calif.) Vista Murrieta
Recruiting wrap: Army, Navy and Nevada have offered so far.
Performance: Russell is good at the line of scrimmage, flips and runs with receivers and then closes well to knock passes down or make it impossible for wide outs to come back to the ball. When giving receivers some cushion, he also does a nice job of coming up and making a play to tip the pass away or making it really difficult for the receiver to make the catch.
DB
Chacho Ulloa
Corona (Calif.) Centennial
Recruiting wrap: Ulloa plans to officially visit Michigan State and Notre Dame. Stanford and Arizona State are the two schools that round out his top four.
Performance: Ulloa had a nice showing and broke on many passes to get the deflection. He is good in coverage, runs well with receivers and then does a nice job being athletic on jump balls to make it difficult on receivers.
DT
Heikoti Vaisima (2017)
Concord (Calif.) Clayton Valley Charter
Recruiting wrap: Vaisima is just getting started with the recruiting process.
Performance: Vaisima was relentless inside and even though he's undersized at defensive tackle he's super tough and has a lot of athleticism. When linemen went high and grabbed around his neck, Vaisima still kept going trying to win the route. If they tried to muscle him up, the Northern California prospect sidestepped the lineman and usually won the rep.
QB
Victor Viramontes
Norco, Calif.
Recruiting wrap: Nebraska and Wisconsin are the two favorites with Washington State and Nevada still involved.
Performance: Viramontes worked out at quarterback even though many of the schools that have offered like him more at linebacker. Still, the three-star had an impressive performance - he zips the ball around the field as well as anyone in California. He has a lot of snap on his passes and he's athletic, too, so he can throw on the run nicely.
RB
Morian Walker
San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian
Recruiting wrap: Walker is just getting started with the recruiting process.
Performance: Walker showed off excellent footwork during the drills, especially a complicated one where the running backs were required to constantly keep changing direction. Others struggled with that portion of the drill work but Walker had it down as well as anybody. He was also elusive in the one-on-one portion and did a nice job freeing himself from linebackers.
WR
Max Weisman
Sherman Oaks (Calif.) Notre Dame
Recruiting wrap: Weisman is just getting started with the recruiting process.
Performance: Weisman goes at 100 miles per hour during every drill and every rep and because he has good speed he can get separation late in his routes to catch deep passes. He also showed off nice hands with some fingertip grabs. Every time he's on the field he's going to attack and be relentless in everything he does.
