CINCINNATI – The Midwest boasts some of college football’s most traditional football programs, so when the Rivals 3 Stripe Camp presented by adidas made a stop in the region this past weekend we asked prospects which of those schools has the best tradition.

The pick: Ohio State

Why: “Just their program, you know they’re a winning program when you’re up there or around there.” - Louisville 3-star WR Izayah Cummings

The pick: Michigan

Why: “Michigan, for sure. It’s that feeling. It’s like no other. I've been to a lot of places, and Michigan also, and when you go there it felt the difference you feel the tradition in your heart.” - Belleville, Mich., 2020 4-star DB Andre Seldon

The pick: Michigan or Ohio State

Why: “The two most college football-rich tradition programs would be Ohio State and Michigan. As far back as that rivalry goes, it has just been so rich. The players that come out of those two schools have had a lot of success in the NFL.” -2020 Miami Ohio commit Miles Fleming

The pick: Michigan State

Why: “They’re tough, hard-working and nothing is given to them. They’re always a gritty team that works hard at producing. They’ve always been like them and I’ve never known them to do it another way.” — 3-star 2020 Clayton, Ohio DE Jaiden Cameron

The pick: Penn State

Why: “When I went up there, it was great. The coaches, everyone around town - it was all about Penn State.” - 3-star Lima, Ohio, DE Brandon Taylor

The pick: Michigan

Why: “No-brainer, it’s Michigan. Michigan is known for having the most wins of any program, the winningest program. The tradition they have there, the fans, that’s why I picked to go there obviously.” — 4-star Bloomfield, Mich., LB Cornell Wheeler

The pick: Notre Dame

Why: “That’s a hard one. Notre Dame has an edge tradition-wise for sure.” — 3-star Lexington, Ky., OL Walker Parks

The pick: Michigan or Ohio State

Why: “They are close to my home and I see them winning all the time.” - Detroit OL Terrence Enos

The pick: Penn State

Why: “Their uniforms don’t have the name on the jerseys and they wear black cleats still, so I think that’s pretty traditional.” - 3-star Northwestern commit WR Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen

The pick: Michigan, Michigan State and Ohio State

Why: “All the Big Ten schools, that’s what I grew up watching because I’m here in the Midwest.” - 3-star Pickerington, Ohio WR Chris Scott

The pick: Michigan or Ohio State

Why: “The best tradition has to be either Ohio State or Michigan, because you can just look at those programs and they have been winning for a long time.” - 3-star Waterford, Mich., WR Christian Fitzpatrick
