Moorsetown, N.J. running back Albert Young took his first official visit this past weekend to Wisconsin. So how did Barry Alvarez and company treat one of New Jersey’s top backs?
“It was cool, I was hosted by Anthony Davis who is also a Jersey kid so that was great. They have seven kids from New Jersey on that team”, said the 5-foot-10, 205-pounder. “I liked the coaches and they really have a great special education program which is what I want to go into. Wisconsin is way up there for me.”
Young, who scored more than 30 touchdowns this season, has official visits set with a few other schools.
“I want to take an official to Boston College this weekend, but they still haven’t offered me,” he said. “That’s getting a bit frustrating because I’d like to see BC and then decide between the two of them (BC and Wisconsin). If BC won’t let me visit, then I’ll take Iowa or Rutgers or something. Virginia is set for Jan. 17, but I don’t know if I’m interested in them anymore.
“I’d like to decide by Christmas, but right now I might wait on BC a bit. I don’t know how long though.”
