RB Wilson talks Louisville, Wake Forest

Things are starting to come into focus for Charlotte (N.C.) West Mecklenburg all-purpose back Shaun Wilson. Wilson has offers from six schools but two have jumped to the top of his list
"My recruiting has really slowed down," Wilson said. "I've been talking to Louisville and Wake Forest the most but that's about it."

Wilson said right now the Cardinals are his leader.
"Louisville is my top school," he said. "I really want to play big-time ACC football and what they did last year - having big success - I really liked that."
Wilson is hoping to make a decision sometime in the next month or so and one of his main priorities is getting to Louisville for a visit.
"I'm going up there on July 19," he said. "I've been talking to [running backs] Coach [Kenny] Carter. He said I'd fit as a speed back and a slow man and I'd have a chance to return kicks."
One of the main reasons Louisville is in the mix for Wilson's services is the schools upcoming shift to the ACC.
"That plays a big role," Wilson said. "I do want my family to come to my games. Them moving to the ACC, into a much bigger conference, that's what I love. I want to be able to showcase my talent and show the schools around here what they're missing by passing on me."
The Demon Deacons also play in the ACC and have the advantage that they're close to home for Wilson.
"They're in the mix because they're close and they seem very interested," he said. "Me and [linebackers] Coach [Warren] Belin speak about every day through Facebook."
Wilson said the talks with the Demon Deacons haven't gone into specifics about how he would fit in offensively, but he has been building a relationship with Belin.
"We just stay in contact and talk about how things going," he said. "We talk about every day stuff like workouts and things like that and it's a good relationship."
