Monroe (N.C.) Sun Valley running back JaDarrius Williams is holding two scholarships. The 5-foot-8, 170-pounder is making plans to hit the camp circuit in hopes of picking up more offers as he contemplates his options.
"I'm just lifting hard an getting ready for the football season, our first practice is on Wednesday," he said. "So far, I've only been to a couple combines, but I'm supposed to be going to Middle Tennessee State for one of their one days and a couple more, East Carolina and Florida."
At this time, Williams holds offers from Middle Tennessee and East Carolina.
"I've been talking a lot more to Middle Tennessee than East Carolina."
While those programs have scholarships out, the tailback claims two other schools are very interested.
"A couple are showing a lot of interest, Ball State and Arkansas," he said. "Arkansas said they are going to try to get me in. Right now my grades weren't that good and they are saying if they can get me into school they'll offer. I'm getting close, I should be straight this upcoming year."
With colleges picking up, Williams is looking for a few things in his future home.
"I want to go to a good running school and just a good overall atmosphere, I want a lot of support from the fans. I want somewhere that will help me get through school and help me in my future if I don't make it to the league."
