Junior to Watch: Allyn Bacchus

Position: Running back/safety
Size and speed: Bacchus stands 6-foot and weighs 185 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds, bench presses 235 and squats 400.
Statistics: As a junior, Bacchus ran for 970 yards and seven touchdowns on offense and registered seven sacks with two interceptions on defense.
Honors: n/a
Favorite Schools: Virginia, Virginia Tech, Hampton, UConn, Marshall, Pitt, West Virginia.
Skinny: Bacchus played against the best competition in the state as a junior and was one of the top running backs in his conference. While he doesn’t have any offers yet, he’s pretty sure he’d like to stay in Virginia.
“Virginia and Virginia Tech are my two favorites,” he said. “If I don’t get offers from them, I’d probably go to Hampton instead of going too far away from the state. My dad played at Virginia State and I’d like to stay local.”
Bacchus will camp at Virginia and possibly Virginia Tech.
