RB to visit TCU, likes Frogs and KU

It sounds as if Navasota (Texas) High running back Chris Smith is settling down to a decision between two schools.
“I’ve been talking to Kansas, they call, and the only other school that has been talking to me is TCU,” Smith said. “Kansas hasn’t given me an offer, TCU has, but I want to wait and concentrate on high school football and where I’m at right now.”

While he’s putting off his eventual decision, Smith still seems to have an early favorite.
“TCU stands out above Kansas because they were giving me a scholarship to go to their school, and they’ve really been talking to me really good for a long while,” Smith said.
He also says that while TCU and Kansas have emerged as his main contenders, he is
interested in making official visits to some other schools not on his current list.
“I know I’m going to take an official visit to TCU, I’m not really sure about Kansas, but besides TCU I also really want to take one to Oklahoma State, Miami and West Virginia if I have a chance to,” he said.
One of the top 100 overall prospects in Texas, Smith racked up 1,710 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior en route to earning all-district honors. His numbers have remained consistent as a senior, pacing Navasota to an early 6-1 record.
“It’s been going great. We’re 6-1 right now, and we made a lot of mistakes, but so far we’re having a pretty good season,” Smith said. “I’ve been playing pretty good. I’ve been having 100 yards every game. I think I got 1,100 yards or so.”
