Kendrick Hardy is a four-star running back prospect and a member of the Rivals100 (No. 53). Hardy, from Monticello (Miss.) Lawrence County High School, rushed for 2,103 yards (175 carries) and 29 touchdowns in 2007. He could even put up bigger numbers this season.
"I just want to do better this season," Hardy said. "I want 2,200 yards or better. I believe I am more physical now. I know I am bigger and faster. Last year I was 190 pounds and now I am 220 and faster. It should be a big year for me."
In terms of recruiting Hardy says he's open among Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Alabama, Auburn and others. This weekend he will make an unofficial visit.

"I am supposed to visit Ole Miss this Saturday. They have wanted me to visit them so I will go this weekend. I have already been there as well as Mississippi State and Southern Miss. Right now I am just open with everyone. It doesn't matter if I leave the state or not. I will set up my official visits later during the season."
Hardy is also taking an on-line summer class (science). That will end for him on Sunday.
