RB to visit La Tech, Tulsa

Coppell, Texas, running back Thomas Pratt worked his way up the recruiting lists with a memorable senior season that included 1,980 yards rushing, 19 touchdowns and honors that included most valuable player honors in his district.

It’s those type of honors that have him getting regular calls from Louisiana Tech, Tulsa and SMU.

“Tulsa and La Tech want me to come up for an official visit, but I haven’t set up dates with them yet,” Pratt, who is 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, said. “The funny thing is that Louisiana Tech called and said they were going to be by the school some time to see me. I had some family business that I needed to take care of yesterday and missed school.

“And wouldn’t you know it, it was the day they came by. They told my coach they would be back.”

Why wouldn’t they, because Pratt is a sleeper prospect that could end up being a steal for somebody.
