RB Rhone continues to draw interest

Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Washington High running back prospect Travis Rhone (5-foot-11, 171 pounds) has been playing well so far this season for his 3-3 team, which will face rival Linn-Mar (3-3) this Friday. Tnd the stakes will be high for this showdown.
“The winner gets to stay alive for the playoffs, and the loser will stay at home for the playoffs," Rhone said. "It's always a huge game whenever we play Linn-Mar, but it's an even bigger game this week. We'll be ready."

Rhone talked about his latest recruiting news.
"I'm still getting weekly calls from Iowa, Iowa State, Indiana, South Dakota State, and Ohio State has also started to call me," he said. "I would say that I've had about 7-8 schools request me senior tape. I've also been to a few football games at Iowa this fall."
Rhone also knows that his success in the classroom is as important for him this fall as his success on the field.
"I fell behind some academically last year, but things have been going very well for me in the classroom this fall. I'm working very hard in school since the summer, and I know that a lot is at stake for me. I'm definitely getting my grades up now and I'm taking my academics very seriously from here on out."
Does Rhone have any favorites?
"No, not really. I'm just going to see how things go the rest of the fall, and hopefully I'll have some options to choose from. I'm still very open at this point."
