RB Rainey changes schools

Running back Quinton Rainey out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Tallwood just transferred schools. Who did the 5-foot-11, 220-pounder go to and how's he adjusting to his new team?
"I transferred from Tallwood to Landstown over some issues," he said. "I moved and everything. It's not a very hard transition and there's a little bit more learning for me as they have a lot more plays. I've met most of the team and we're all pretty good now, at first they weren't sure about me because some of the guys thought I'd take their positions, but I didn't."

Rainey plans to play running back and linebacker with Landstown this fall.
On the recruiting front, Rainey claims offers from schools including Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Syracuse.
Currently, the running back is looking at North Carolina State and North Carolina.
"They have good running programs and educational programs," he said. "I just like the whole school all-around at North Carolina State. I like the fields, classrooms and dorms. I like North Carolina because it's close to home. The education is good, but I didn't like the way the dorms looked though."
Hofstra has also been busy with the prospect recently.
"The coach from Hofstra talked to me in May and they run a lot of single back formations and shotgun sets," he said. "I'm not too fond of that, but I'm looking more into them."
As for official visits, Rainey is looking at North Carolina State, Maryland, Hofstra and North Carolina.
"I'm looking to take those officials either during or after the season."
Recently, Rainey said that Southern Cal and Syracuse have been recruiting him.
"I like both of their programs, especially USC because it's a running program and fast-paced. They said they want to see one of my tapes and then we'll start talking."
The season is quickly approaching for the all-district and all-region prospect.
"I want to work on my speed this year," he said. "That's really it, I have no problem with my power and agility, but I've got to get my speed down a little more. I'm at a 4.6 and I'd like to be a 4.5 or 4.4."
Rainey ran for 800 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, he added 105 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions on defense.
