"One thing I came with from the visit that Wake is a good place for me to go to school education wise and play top level football in the ACC," he said. "I think that it's a pretty good fit for me."
Neal has been talking to Wake Forest, Duke, Mississippi State, N.C. State and Syracuse a lot lately.
"I don't really have a favorite right now," Neal said. "I love the atmosphere at Mississippi State. It's a good college and it's a big college. They have had a lot of business up and down there. My freshman year was when I visited for the first time and my second time was a few weeks ago. I really loved the visit and they showed us a great time. They showed us around the campus and the field.
"When I went up to Syracuse for the Florida State game, it was a good game atmosphere in the Carrier Dome," he said. "They are rebuilding too and they are really trying to bring guys in to change their program around. I like Syracuse, I like the tradition and the stuff that they have."
Neal is planning to announce a short list soon.
"Somewhere toward April and May," he said. "I will try to make cuts."
Neal wants to announce his commitment decision before the season starts.
