RB Minor talks Miami

Rivals250 fullback Brandon Minor took his third official visit of the season to South Beach this past weekend. The 6-foot-0, 213-pounder out of Richmond (Va.) Varina was impressed by what the Hurricanes had to offer.
"I enjoyed myself and they showed me a lot of hospitality," he said. "I particularly enjoyed taking in the practices because they were hitting and I enjoy doing that too.

"I got there about noon on Friday and we started off doing the academic thing and then I watched them practice. After that, I sat around with my position coach and then had dinner and talked with the players and coaches. Friday night, I went out with my host Brandon Merriweather. He's a real cool guy and he told me how competitive it is. I was actually supposed to be hosted by Glenn Cook, but he couldn't do it because he was busy.
"On Saturday I pretty much did the same thing including meeting with the coaches and players. Finally on Sunday I met with Larry Coker. We had a good conversation and he mostly talked about my interest in the school and how they'd use me as a running back and receiver."
Minor rated his trip to Miami a nine.
"There's not too much to say, I just rated it because I enjoyed it," he said. "I can say it was hot there and that was the only difference between Miami and my other visits, but that doesn't factor into my decision."
The four-star prospect confirmed that all four schools, Michigan, Miami, Tennessee and Virginia Tech are even at this time.
In the past week Minor has received in-home visits from Tennessee's Phillip Fulmer and Virginia Tech's Frank Beamer.
"Both visits were really good, but they basically told me the same old thing and there was nothing that really made the in-home visits stand out."
The No. 6 prospect in Virginia plans to take his final official visit on January 6th to Blacksburg.
"I'm just hoping to see what they have to offer," he said. "I do like them because I have a lot of friends that go there, so that's nice."
Despite finishing up his officials early next month, Minor is still planning to decide as close to Signing Day as possible.
