RB Martinez already putting together a big year

Hampton, Va. running back Tron Martinez is a sleeper in every sense of the word. The 5-foot-9, 186-pounder has put together a remarkable first three weeks of the season as he continues to look for his first offer.
"I think our tea is young and a little undersized, but we're fast," he said. "I have seen a big improvement in the weight room and I'm blocking more.

"I'm trying to go out this year with a bang."
There's no question Martinez has done that so far this season as he has helped his team to a 3-0 record. Martinez has posted 451-yards rushing and nine touchdowns in three games. Last week he registered 79-yards and four scores.
So far the big year hasn't pulled him a scholarship.
"Nobody has offered yet," he said. "A lot of schools are talking to me. I'm hearing a lot from Virginia Tech, almost every day I get something from them. I talk to ODU, Maryland and North Carolina.
"They all want to see more film this season."
Does Martinez like anybody?
"Yes, I still like Virginia Tech a lot," he said. "I know a lot of people that are going there and committed there. It's a nice environment."
Martinez already has an idea what he is looking for in a college.
"I want a good education, good atmosphere and nice people," he said. "I don't want to be too far from home. I want my mom to be able to see me play. It's got to have a real good education too."
Martinez hasn't visited anywhere yet, but is considering trips this fall including one to Virginia Tech.
