Size and Speed: Williams is 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds. He as been clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.6 seconds. Williams bench-presses 220 pounds and squats 380 pounds. He also has a 3.5 grade-point average.
Statistics: Williams had 808 yards and 12 touchdowns along with two interceptions on defense.
Honors: Williams earned all-state honors as a junior.
Favorite schools: Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss lead the way for Williams, but he does not have any offers at this point.
Skinny: Looking for a big, bruising back that can punish you but also has the footwork to slide right by you and the frame to also grow into a safety in college? If so, then Gattlatin, Tenn., standout Jacquez Williams is your man.
“Coach says get the extra yardage and that's what I just try to do," Williams said. "With my size I can run over people, but I have quick feet to make a move on the defense.”
The offense Gattaltin uses is a run-oriented offense that sets up perfect for Williams.
"I like offense maybe a little more than defense, because I like getting the football," Williams said. "In college I’ll probably play safety.”
Next Monday, Tennessee coaches will visit with Williams coach at school and if the Vols were to put down an offer, things could get interesting. Williams is also slated to camp this summer in Knoxville.
