RB Kelley is ready to earn more offers

Suitland, Md. running back Dontrewell Kelley holds one official offer. The 5-foot-10, 174-pounder claims two more schools have put out verbal offers and want to see a bit more before making it official.

"Right now I'm getting ready for the season, but I called Temple and North Carolina recently," he said. "They both gave me verbal offers. They want to come to my games and if they like what they see they'll make the offers official. I'm glad they still have me on their recruiting board. I just now have to do what I have to do.

"Both also want me to come for a visit after the season, since I play on Saturday here."

Kelley continues to hold one official offer from Syracuse and is receiving interest from a few other schools including Maryland, James Madison, Delaware and Old Dominion.

Kelley opens the season this weekend.

"I'm just looking forward to getting a state championship," he said. "I've been working hard in the offseason and now I'm ready to get it done.

"My goal is to reach 2,000-yards and 20 touchdowns."
