RB Johnson Still Wide Open

Running back Mike Johnson certainly has no problem meeting new people. At the Virginia-FSU game this past weekend he met nearly everyone.
“There was a lot of talent there,” said the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder from Newport News (Va.) Heritage. “I knew a lot of the guys, but I got to meet a bunch of them as well.”

Johnson also understands that early playing time is also available at Virginia.
“They stressed that to all of us,” said Johnson. “It’s clear that they want to bring their own guys in and build with that. It was a very cool visit.”
Johnson and best buddy Marcus Vick were two of the top players on unofficial visits and the cornerstones of Virginia’s future if they come on board.
“I still don’t have a leader,” he said. “Marcus and I are going to Miami on December 7th, I got the date screwed up last time. It’s a weekend visit. I’m also going to Michigan State on November 9th, but I might cancel that. I hear it’s cold up there. We’re taking our last visit to UVA on January 18th.”
Johnson is also considering visits to Florida, Florida State, Tennessee or NC State.
