RB Johnson Chooses

Newport News (Va.) Heritage running back Mike Johnson was not leaning to Virginia as heavily as some think. So did he pick the Cavaliers in the end?
"I committed to Virginia," said the 5-foot-10, 180-pound back who is ranked as the 2nd best all-purpose back in the country. "I just felt it was the best place for me. I liked the coaches there alot and they recruited me the best. I also feel the football is good and getting a degree from Virginia holds alot of weight."

Johnson chose the Cavaliers over Michigan State and Miami. He had over 40 offers.
"I get to play football and get an education close to home," he said. "Miami and Michigan State were very tempting, but UVA was where my heart was."
