RB Foxx commits on official visit

It was only weeks ago running back Deshon Foxx landed an offer. The prospect took his lone official visit this past weekend and on the visit the Lynchburg (Va.) Brookville star left committed to the school.
"I committed up on my visit yesterday to Connecticut," he said. "I had a meeting with my parents and Coach Edsall. He was happy, the whole coaching staff was there to welcome me into their program."

Foxx pulled the offer just a few weeks ago and took his only visit to Storrs over the weekend. What made him pull the trigger?
"The game was amazing," he said. "I'm a running back and they love to run the ball. Jordan had 31 rushes and the backup had 15.
"The environment was outstanding with the new facilities and the weight room was great. The football team is one big family; they help and push each other to be the best they possibly can be. Overall, I loved it."
The coaches were a big part of Foxx's choice as well.
"They are the best coaching staff I've met," he said. "They all work together so well, they treat their players amazing. They don't beat around the bush, they tell you what's real. I really love the staff. I couldn't ask for a better one."
As for playing time, Foxx went on about his chances upon his arrival this summer in Connecticut.
"It's all about what I bring to the table," he said. "If I can go out there and prove myself, I'll play."
