RB Duncan still wide open

SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- Signing day is fast approaching but Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek three-star running back Jela Duncan doesn't appear to be anywhere near ready to make a decision about which school he will attend.
"I don't have a leader," Duncan said Tuesday after practice for the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.

Three schools, however, are assured of getting official visits.
"I've got official visits set up for Wake Forest, East Carolina and Duke," Duncan said. "It's Jan. 7 for Wake Forest, Jan. 13 for ECU and the weekend of the 21st [of January) for Duke. I had a lot of house visits last week. ECU came. Duke came. Wake Forest. Pitt."
The 5-feet-10, 190-pound Duncan, who rushed for more than 2,000 yards in 2011, also plans to take a fourth visit. But he isn't sure just yet who will get it.
Alabama and North Carolina would appear to be possibilities, though neither has offered. The Tide recently requested Duncan's highlights.
"Their running backs coach called me last week," Duncan said. "He said he wants to see more of me on film. He said he liked me. I've got some film on Youtube, but they want to see more film from the playoffs because I did real well. I was real excited. I love seeing them play. I'm going to send it when I get back to Charlotte. I've still got to get it made."
Duncan thinks North Carolina could be next to offer. If that happens, the Tar Heels would likely position themselves toward the top.
"I just heard from them last Saturday," Duncan said. "They said they love me on film."
