RB Dixon claims early leader

Plainfield, N.J. running back Reggie Dixon continues to hold three offers. The 5-foot-7, 158-pounder claims one of the schools is standing out a bit over the rest. Who's leading and why?
"I've got three offers still from Boston College, Rutgers and Temple," he said. "I'd say Rutgers stands out. They are the team that has been in contact with me the most and send me a lot of stuff.

"I do like that they are close to home, some people tell me to leave and get out. I think if I go there it's a different area. I also like my recruiter, coach Susan. He keeps in contact and talks about sports and academics. He's making sure I'm keeping everything in order so that I'll be eligible."
Currently Dixon is working hard to accumulate more scholarships by running track and preparing for the upcoming combines.
"I actually did a tri-state combine recently," he said. "I ran my 40 and the coaches hand timed me at a 4.1-second 40-yard dash. They didn't believe it and told me to run again where I ran a 3.97-second 40. Then I did it one more time and ran a 4.25. I was surprised. Last year I ran a 4.29 after running track I knew I'd come back and do well and get something low, but never thought it would be that low. I know it's hand timed, but that's still fast."
Dixon plans to do two participate in two more combines in May in the Elite College Combine and Nike Combine in New York.
Last season Dixon accounted for 1,200 all-purpose yards and 21 total touchdowns.
