RB decides on hometown school

Since the beginning of the season Brandon McAnderson has seen his stock rise. Last month he was elevated to a three-star prospect in the Rivals100.com rankings.
With other colleges starting to make a push at him he has decided to commit to a school he is familiar with.

“Kansas offered me a scholarship and I verbally committed to them,” McAnderson said. “They called me the most consistently. They recruited me the hardest.”
McAnderson said schools like Missouri, Kansas State, Wyoming, and Iowa were also contacting him. He said both Kansas State and Wyoming recently attended his high school to evaluate him.
At 6-1, 215, he is a tough load to bring down at running back. This season he has rushed for over 1500 yards and helped Lawrence High to a 7-2 record and trip to the state playoffs.
