RB Coleman likes the Hokies

All-purpose back/cornerback Mario Coleman is one of the top athletes in Virginia but is still waiting for his first offer. While he's keeping his options open, he wouldn't mind staying close to home.
The 5-foot-9, 170-pound athlete from Alexandria (Va.) Mt. Vernon runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He had a knee injury last year that limited him for much of the season, but is looking to bounce back with a great senior campaign.

"I think a lot of my future will be riding on how I can perform this year," said Coleman. "I didn't really get to show off what I had last year. I had a good sophomore season and it was really tough to struggle last year. I'm in good shape now though, and I'm ready to prove to coaches that I deserve an offer."
While no schools have offered yet, several are showing a lot of interest.
"I've gotten a lot of interest from Virginia Tech, Marshall and Maryland," he said. "Akron has talked to my coach about me. I'm interested in all three of those, but especially Virginia Tech since it's the in-state school. I'm really open to any school that is thinking about offering me a scholarship."
Coleman plans on camping at Marshall and Maryland this summer but isn't sure on the dates.
