Mocksville (N.C.) Davie County running back James Arnold currently holds four scholarship offers in hand and has scheduled his first official visit. Arnold, a 5-foot-10, 171-pound tailback rushed for 1,921 yards as a junior scoring 26 touchdowns.
“I’ve got offers right now from Auburn, North Carolina, Clemson, and East Carolina,” explained Arnold. “I don’t have any favorites right now, but I’m also starting to get more interest from Georgia, North Carolina State, and Wake Forest.”
Arnold is in no hurry to make an early decision and will likely take all five of his official visits first. One such visit has already been set.
“I plan to make my way down to Auburn for an official visit the weekend of October 9th. “They are recruiting me pretty hard right now along with the other four schools that have offered.”
What does Arnold like about the four schools that have extended offers?
I really like the surroundings and the community outside of the campus. They have really nice facilities as well as a solid program.
I haven’t visited their campus yet, but I’ve been to a game there. They’ve got a decent stadium, but nothing to write home about.
I don’t know too much about that program just yet, but I hope to learn more when I visit there.
The same can be said for East Carolina as Clemson. Both schools have good fan bases, but don’t know too much about their facilities.
Davie County will open the season this Friday versus Northwest Guilford.
