The scholarship offers keep coming in for Andre Davis. Davis, from Tampa Jefferson High School, landed his first SEC offer earlier today.
"Arkansas offered me," Davis said. "I don't know that much about them. I got the letter today. I haven't even talked with them yet at all. It's just been letters. That's kind of crazy but I take that as a big compliment. They don't even know me yet.
"I want to check them out and I know this is just the beginning of the process with me with Arkansas."
Davis, 6-1 and 180 pounds, now has 13 scholarship offers. Teams like Miami, Florida State, Illinois, Kansas, Purdue, West Virginia, Rutgers, and Texas Tech have all extended offers to him.
"I am open with everyone. I am going to go down to the Miami spring game this weekend. I am supposed to go to the Nike Camp the next day but I will not be able to attend. I have a bacteria infection in knee. I got a cut that got inflected sliding head first playing baseball. It's been slowing me down and I really can't run on it. I just started taking antibiotics."
Davis plays for the Jefferson baseball team. So far this season he is batting .442.
