Ray Jr. talks official visits

Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel linebacker Arthur Ray Jr. made an unofficial visit to one of the top schools on his list. He will likely make an official visit there too.
"I went up to Boston College," Ray Jr. said. "I went there on Monday.
"It went really good. I took a tour of campus with coach (Don) Horton and another coach. I liked it a lot up there. I really liked sitting down with three of their linemen. We had a real good talk. I really enjoyed that."
Ray Jr. has a scholarship offer on the table from the Eagles. But he has plenty of other offers as well.
"I have 12 offers now," Ray Jr. said. "Indiana and Western Michigan are the latest to offer."
The top three schools on Ray Jr.'s list have all offered a scholarship.
"I've got three schools that stick out most," Ray Jr. said. "Those three are Indiana, Iowa State and Boston College. I like them all the same right now."
Ray Jr. has begun thinking ahead to his official visits.
"Right now I think I'll take two or three," he said. "Right now Indiana, Boston College and Iowa State will probably be the three.
"I'll probably take them during the season, then commit."
The 6-foot-2 and 297-pound Ray Jr. helped lead his team to a 13-0 record before a loss in the state championship game during his junior season. Ray is a powerful offensive guard who excels in run blocking.
