Rash ready to commit

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Penn Hills two-star defensive end Joe Rash was one of a big group of visitors at Akron this weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 257-pounder took the visit with his teammate Aaron Williams. Rash said he's close enough to making a decision now that one could come as soon as next week.

"Aaron Williams and I were up there and David Harvey was the guy showing us around," Rash said. "He was my host. I already knew Dave. I went to school with him. That does impact my decision because I already know a couple of guys up there.
"I'm probably going to make my decision next Monday between Akron, West Virginia and Toledo."
At this point, he says he has offers from Akron, Toledo and Buffalo. But there's no question that the Zips are going to be tough to eat.
"It was a good trip," Rash said. "I got to see their indoor practice facilities, the dorms and the campus. I got to see a fairly good amount of stuff. It was nice. I didn't expect it to be that nice, but it was. It shocked me a little bit."
"I don't have any other visits set up as of now and Akron is my leader."
Joe Moorhead is recruiting Rash for the Zips. Rash said he did get to spend some time with Akron coach J.D. Brookhart.
"He just told me that they really wanted me up there," Rash said. "He said I was a priority."
