Rivals100 prospect Jacorey Brooks has an official top 7, but as is the case with most lists of that sort, not all schools that made the cut are equal. Below, Rivals.com takes a look at five programs that could realistically land the four-star wideout and ranks them by their chances.

CLASS OF 2021 RANKINGS: Rivals250 | Position | Team | State

1. LSU

If the Tigers decide to press, they have to be seen as the leader here. Brooks has long loved Ed Orgeron’s program and last season’s national title run only solidified those feelings. That said, LSU will have their pick at wide receiver, so a lot of this is about the program's preference. We’ll see how serious things are when visits resume.

2. Alabama

There isn’t much distance between the top three here, as Nick Saban seems to always pull a touted receiver or two out of the Sunshine State. Brooks, who has already been to campus once, is a candidate to be this year's case study, as Saban seems serious about the Miami-based star. If he is able to visit again this summer or early this fall, the Tide will be a threat to land Brooks’ letter of intent.

3. Miami

Miami was once seen as the leader, but that lead has vanished. The Hurricanes could actually benefit from Brooks not having time to make many out-of-state visits before signing day. Brooks is, after all, most familiar with the UM staff and has been incredibly high on the program for years now. Manny Diaz and company will need to convince the touted wideout that the team’s quarterback play is set to drastically improve if they hope to land his letter of intent.

4. Florida

Brooks attended Florida’s junior day just before the Covid-19 pandemic eliminated campus visits. Now it seems as though that will be the last campus tour the Rivals100 wideout takes for some time. The unfortunate situation could actually play in UF’s favor, as his March 7 trip to Gainesville will stay fresh in his mind. The Gators have some work to do here, but it’s easy to see Dan Mullen’s program shooting up this list if on-campus recruiting stays on hold until the fall.

5. Florida State

It’s up to the new Florida State to re-recruit Brooks, who was once incredibly high on the Seminoles. Things will have to get better on the field this fall, however, as FSU’s recent quarterback play has left plenty to be desired. At this point, the Seminoles feel like a bit of a long shot at the moment but that could change.
