The spring months are an evaluation period for both college programs and the perspective recruits looking to find their next level fit. For 2024 receiver Zion Ragins, the Rivals100 prospect has taken his list of nearly 30 schools down to 12.

Top schools: Notre Dame, Western Kentucky, Florida State, South Carolina, Penn State, Oklahoma, Georgia, Colorado, Auburn, Tennessee, Miami, and Cincinnati.

Rivals breaks down the top five that could turn into official visits.

Georgia: Being an in-state prospect, and the Bulldogs being back-to-back national champs, it would be hard not to have Georgia atop the list.

Tennessee: With the Volunteers wide open offense, receivers will have a hard time saying no to head coach Josh Heupel. The added luster of heading to Knoxville, five-star 2023 QB Nico Iamaleava.

Florida State: The Seminoles are on the rise and have done really well on the recruiting trail landing receivers highlighted by five-star 2023 talent Hykeem Williams. Recruits love visiting Florida State, and rave about head coach Mike Norvell along with offensive coordinator Alex Atkins. Don’t count out the Seminoles.

Auburn: The Tigers have a lot of momentum behind them after a really strong finish to the 2023 recruiting class. There is excitement on The Plains because of offensive minded head coach Hugh Freeze. A strong spring for Auburn in practice and a good showing over the fall months will have the Tigers back in the top 10 nationally in recruiting.

South Carolina: The Gamecocks are another team making big moves. The 2023 recruiting class quietly finished inside the top 20 and the 2024 class is currently ranked seventh with five four-star commitments. The longevity of Shane Beamer being on the sidelines of Williams-Brice is a selling point to recruits.

Ragins had a strong junior season securing 46 passes for 557 yards with three touchdowns. He also carried the ball 45 times for 215 yards posting two more scores.
