With less than a month to go until the Early Signing Period (December 19-21), decisions are being made.

Thanksgiving week was a big one for some of the top recruits in the South and we take a look at the top eight commitments by prospects from Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi from last week.

NO. 1 - JALEN PERRY TO MICHIGAN

Jalen Perry was at one time committed to Georgia, and as soon as he re-opened his recruitment early in October, most felt he would end up at South Carolina. The Gamecocks finished second. Perry visited Ann Arbor twice after decommitting from Georgia and Jim Harbaugh and his staff won out. This is a great fit. Perry is a big corner who loves to play press coverage and he will see the field early at Michigan.

NO. 2 - MYRON WARREN TO TEXAS

Some may look at the prospect ranking of Myron Warren and feel he is too high on this list. This commitment ranking may tell you where he will be ranked when Rivals updates their 2019 rankings next month. Warren's senior film is good — very good. He is a versatile defensive lineman and the Texas Longhorns may have stolen one out of the Boot State. Oregon is still in play. Tennessee is too. If LSU makes a push, then the Tigers could be one to watch, but Texas swooped in with an offer mid fall and after getting Warren on campus, they locked up his verbal commitment.

NO. 3 - JD BERTRAND TO NOTRE DAME

JD Bertrand is still playing football this season, going for his second straight state title, but in between all of that, he committed to Notre Dame. Like his personality, Bertrand made his decision very quietly. He is not about the drama, he is not about the suspense and once his mind was made up, he committed to the Irish.

He is a true football player, but he is more than that. Bertrand is a student on and off the field, he is all business and he will be a leader in South Bend. It was unknown just weeks ago if Notre Dame would pursue Bertrand, but they decided to and look for it to pay off.

NO. 4 - JAVON B AKER TO ALABAMA

This one was over weeks before Javon Baker announced his decision. Baker earned his Alabama offer early in June, and since then, the Rivals100 junior had the Crimson Tide on top of his list. He is a sought after talent in the Peach State, but after seeing what Alabama's offense did this season, Baker knew he wanted to be a part of it in the future.

He is a weapon on the outside with speed and big play ability. The scary thing about Baker's game is — he could be just as good on defense too.

NO. 5 - PAUL TCHIO TO CLEMSON

Clemson had been trending for Paul Tchio for quite some time, and on Sunday, he made it official. Tchio is an agile offensive lineman who can get to the second level. He is an offensive guard, but could play center or even slide outside to play tackle if needed for the Tigers.

His game has really come along this season. He is in better shape, he is stronger, he is holding his blocks better and he has really played a big role in helping his team reach the semi-finals. Tchio and Clemson look like a great match on and off the field.

NO. 6 - MYLES FARMER TO NEBRASKA

Not many have been talking about Myles Farmer, but that was fine with him. He has gone about his business over the last couple of years and picked up a long list of offers. Since taking over at Nebraska, Scott Frost has been active in Georgia. Caleb Tanner was one of the biggest surprises on Signing Day 2018 and the Huskers have tried to keep that momentum in the Peach State.

Farmer is a long athlete who could project as a hybrid. He started out in high school as a corner, he has played a lot of safety and he has been used some as a linebacker as well. He is a physical player who will be fun to watch as he develops in Lincoln.

NO. 7 - ROYDELL WILLIAMS TO ALABAMA

This one came as no surprise. Roydell Williams is a strong, physical running back that can be described in one word — productive. The junior out of Hueytown rushed for over 2,700 yards and 36 touchdowns in 2018. Schools stacked the box against him, but he still put up big numbers. Williams may not be flashy with elite top-end speed, but he is plenty fast enough and he fills up that stat sheet. He looks and plays like an SEC back. Alabama has been his long-time leader and he is now on the Crimson Tide 2020 commitment list.

NO. 8 - T LEE TO ARIZONA STATE

When you watch T Lee, you see Pac-12 in him. He is a 2020 prospect that held offers from schools all over the country, but he is an athlete with quickness, agility and versatility, so Arizona State looks like a great fit.

He could end up on either side of the ball. He started out at cornerback as a freshman, he played both sides of the ball his sophomore season and this season, he focused on wide receiver. He is good with the ball in his hands and he could be given a look as a returner in Tempe.
