Randolph holds one offer, takes a visit

Quietly Folsom (Pa.) Ridley athlete Jalen Randolph has been holding a lone scholarship offer from West Virginia. Now at midseason, interest is beginning to roll back in for the 6-foot-1, 220-pounder.
"I still have the offer from West Virginia, I haven't accepted it or anything," he said. "I have been talking to Duke, Temple and Maryland a little bit along with Villanova and Delaware.

"Duke and Temple just want to see my senior film. They are really interested, but have limited numbers of scholarships, it's the same boat with Villanova and Delaware."
Randolph made the short commute to Temple for their game against Penn State for a visit.
"I really liked it actually," he said. "I like what they are doing with their program and they probably should have beaten Penn State, that was impressive to me to see how their staff was doing and how hard they get them to play. I was really impressed."
Randolph noted visits this past summer to Duke and West Virginia and hopes to make it back to Duke this season.
Meanwhile, what's his status with the Mountaineers?
"I've been down there more than once since my dad played there, I've seen games and we'll see if I can get down with our schedule."
Despite the ties and offer, Randolph maintains he has no leaders.
"I'm not leaning any one way or the other right now, I'm happy to hear from anybody."
Randolph will fulfill all of his requirements to enroll at a college if they desire in January.
Through four games this season, Randolph helped his team to a 3-1 record.
"I'm playing running back and outside linebacker," he said. "I'm doing pretty well. I thought at the beginning of the season I would be running more than we were, but recently one of our games was raining and I got just over 30 carries.
"I can say I'm a step faster than I was last year and of course stronger. I'm just more comfortable with this being my third year as a starter."
